Learn how to replace the HEPA H13 + activated carbon filter in your Duux Tube air purifier. Follow these simple steps to maintain clean air.

Quick answer

To install a HEPA H13 + activated carbon filter in your Duux Tube, remove the old filter, insert the new one with the tab facing out, and reset the filter timer.

Why replace the filter regularly

The HEPA H13 layer traps 99.95% of airborne particles like dust, pollen, and mold spores, while the activated carbon layer absorbs odors and volatile organic compounds. Over time, both layers become clogged, reducing airflow and purification efficiency. Replacing the filter every 6-12 months keeps your Duux Tube performing at its best.

What you need

You only need a new Duux HEPA H13 + Activated Carbon Filter (compatible with the Duux Tube). No tools are required. The filter is sold as a replacement part and includes both filtration stages in one unit.

Filter replacement steps

  1. Turn off and unplug the purifier: Switch off your Duux Tube and disconnect it from the power outlet. Wait 10 seconds for the internal fan to stop completely. Never open the filter compartment while the unit is running — this can damage the motor or blow dust into the room.
  2. Remove the front cover: Press the release button on the top of the unit and gently pull the front cover away from the base. Set it aside on a clean surface. If the cover is stuck, rock it gently from side to side rather than pulling harder — you could break the plastic clips.
  3. Take out the old filter: Grasp the fabric tab on the top of the filter and lift it straight out. Dispose of the used filter according to local regulations. Check the bottom of the filter compartment for dust or debris — a quick vacuum with a brush attachment prevents blockages.
  4. Insert the new filter: Unwrap the new HEPA H13 + activated carbon filter from its plastic bag. Align it with the filter slot, tab facing outward, and push it down until it sits flush. Make sure the filter is fully seated — a gap lets unfiltered air bypass the HEPA layer.
  5. Reattach the front cover: Line up the tabs on the cover with the slots on the unit and press firmly until you hear a click. Plug the purifier back in and turn it on. Double-check that the cover is flush on all sides — a loose cover can cause air leaks and reduce efficiency.
  6. Reset the filter timer: Press and hold the filter reset button (usually located on the control panel or inside the filter compartment) for 3 seconds until the indicator light turns off or blinks green. Skipping this step means the purifier will continue to show a filter change warning, but it won't affect performance.
